Recording won't start
- 1Voice Smart needs microphone access. Open the iPhone Settings app, scroll to Voice Smart and turn on Microphone.
- 2Check you have free space. The app stops and saves recordings when less than 100 MB is free.
My transcript hasn't appeared
- 1Your iPhone needs the speech model for the recording's language. Open Voice Smart, go to Settings and pick the language. If it shows a Download button, tap it while connected to the internet.
- 2Recordings made before the download finishes are kept and transcribed automatically once it's done.
- 3Long recordings take a little while. Keep Voice Smart open until the transcript appears.
- 4If it says Transcription failed, open the recording and tap Retry. Retries never use up a free transcript.
The transcript has mistakes
- 1Make sure the right language is selected before you record.
- 2Put your iPhone close to the person speaking and away from fans, music or echoing rooms.
- 3Tap the pencil to edit any line. Your edits keep the original timestamps.
Restore purchases
- 1Make sure you're signed in with the Apple Account you used to buy Pro.
- 2Open Voice Smart, go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases.
- 3Pro unlocks on every iPhone signed in to that Apple Account.
Manage or cancel your subscription
- 1Open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Voice Smart Pro. Or open Voice Smart, go to Settings and tap Manage Subscription.
- 2Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.
- 3Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I see "Recovered recordings"
- 1If Voice Smart was closed while recording (for example the phone restarted or the battery ran out), it saves everything it recorded and shows that banner the next time you open it.
- 2The recording is in your library and is transcribed like any other.
